It’s almost that time of the year again: creativity week! The Year 10s in particular are buzzing with excitement at their upcoming field trip to the beautiful city of Strasbourg. So, we compiled a short list of fun things to do while out in the city with friends.
1. Walk along the river Ill

Okay, maybe a quiet walk down the river sounds boring, but hear me out. The river Ill is an iconic part of Strasbourg, and sometimes all you need to relax is to go on a leisurely stroll with your friends. Grab something to eat on the way, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon while admiring the city’s stunning architecture.
2. Admire the picturesque beauty of la petite france

La petite france is a popular tourist destination in the city. Famous for its ancient architecture, vibrant colours and cobblestone streets, it is a great place to visit with friends according to a redditor. It’s also home to the iconic Place de Gutenberg, which brings us to our next activity…
3. Vape next to the Gutenberg statue (THIS IS A JOKE WE DO NOT SUPPORT VAPING)

What better place to “hang out” (as the youth say) than to admire the magnificent statue of Johannes Gutenberg? And if you’re tired of standing and walking around all day, be sure to rest at one of the surrounding cafes and get scammed by outlandish prices aiming to exploit gullible tourists. Truly an emblematic experience.
4. Fall victim to tourist scams

Building on the previous point, a great way to ensure you get the authentic Strasbourg field trip experience is to return home and realise you’ve spent your entire budget on crappy souvenirs you’ll probably never see again. We strongly recommend Cafe Rohan, with a whopping 2 stars on google maps. That microwave pizza hanging ominously above this text box is a staple meal at the Cafe Rohan. Now you know that’s scam worthy material.
5. Live music venue!! yayyy

The molodoi is a cultural and social center for young adults. Check out their programme to see if there is anything that piques your interest. Just bring a fake ID probably. Some redditor said it’s the best place for alternative night life so we should definitely trust that completely.
