As a non-writer and a first timer of the update, I am pleased to say that I am excited to share my thoughts and perspectives on school life so far. Although I am not happy to say that tests have started to come up, teachers have started to show their true colors, and most of you will be thinking about revision and homework, while year 7 try to settle into the new rhythm of middle school, I was able to collect some brief data through my friends (year 10) on how busy campus life is so far:
Student No.1: “Bro I don’t have homework yet, you gotta calm down, but do get tests coming up but it’s easy so I don’t gotta revise…”
Student No.2: “Nah, I can’t go to the football pitch with you today. I need to study for my geo test…”
Student No.3: “Bro, honestly I am not gonna lock in this year because it’s not IGCSE year…”
It seems that there are many different views, in fact there is such a large range of opinions that you can’t even tell what campus life is like. Grasping the comments by students above, I think some Y10 students do not seem to take this year seriously, it seems that they’ve forgotten that they will do 50% of their math IGCSE this year!
Other Yeargroups:
Even year 9’s do not seem to grasp that it’s their 9innovate this year, which means they’ll have more things in their hands to do than MYP tests… , but you can feel the year 11s struggle with strengthening their knowledge for their crucial IGCSE exams…
I do not know others’ views but feel free to contact The Update to share your feelings, thoughts and opinions… Contact Sianna Ephrem ZEWDIE for more information and I’ll be extremely excited to give you more perspectives on school student life next time.
