Porter Halyburton: Former Prisoner of War on Getting Shot Down and Captured in Vietnam

Shot down and captured by Vietnamese forces in 1965, US veteran Porter Halyburton spent the following 8 years imprisoned in the infamous ‘Hanoi Hilton’. At age 24, it was assumed he was killed in action and his family held a memorial service for him, the tombstone of which still stands in his backyard. Join The Update in delving into the experiences of a man stripped away of all freedom in the midst of a harrowing war, not knowing if he would ever reconnect with life as he knew it ever again.
