FOOTBALL4iMPACT has taught us that football is far more than just a game; it is a powerful tool used for personal aspirations, establishing communities and bonding through cross-cultural exchange. This year, FOOTBALL4iMPACT is taking a major leap forward by hosting students and foundation players from London and Lisbon in Geneva for an unforgettable experience. Including workshops to ensure we remain intact outside the game as well as within, training sessions to strengthen our team work and footballing skills, and educating ourselves on roles such as leadership development. We want to make this vision come true, and we need your support!
We have set up a GoFundMe page to raise $8000 to cover essential costs, ensuring that students and players, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, can participate in this upcoming event. The money raised will be allocated towards accommodation for the workshop crew and photographers, as well as transportation costs for all participants. Every dollar raised will be a direct contribution to guaranteeing this initiative is accessible and impactful.
Why does this matter? At FOOTBALL4iMPACT, we are not all about about football; we prioritise learning life skills, establishing friendships, and achieving milestones. We also provide a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful workshops on mental health, leadership, and teamwork. This is all done through the process of bringing students together from diverse cultures and backgrounds. The upcoming event in Geneva will allow the participating students to connect and share experiences while playing football and learning life skills.
Our previous trips, including an unforgettable journey to London, have demonstrated FOOTBALL4iMPACT’S goal: to unite people through the love of football. Students arrived and formed friendships, then left with valuable lessons in collaboration and resilience. This event will continue that mission, giving students and players from London and Lisbon a chance to experience a new culture in which they will build lasting connections.
