As some of you may know, there’s going to be a new building in the place of the Vaud sports hall – the Campus Hub. It will include a cafeteria, music rooms, science labs, classrooms for extra support students, dedicated study areas, a main reception, sports and exhibition hall, a fitness room, a combined dance studio and martial arts. The total budget for the campus hub is 41.6 million francs.
Outside, there will be a new basketball court, a big area to run around, and a bigger bike shed. Primary students will have access to the new building when they have extracurricular activities.
The cafeteria will be much bigger than the one we have now, as it will have space for 450 students and teachers, making it more spacious and less crowded. We will still have the old cafeteria, which students can still use.
The music rooms will have extra padding so that the rooms are soundproof and do not disrupt others when playing/practicing music.
There will be more classrooms for students who need extra support, making it more likely for every student to succeed and feel confident.
Finally, there will be additional high-tech labs.
The building for the new Hub started last Summer 2025, and it will be approximately finished in 2027 for the new academic year.
Despite it being a pretty site, we are really excited to use the new cafeteria and study there.
