Hid behind my mother,
And you waved at me.
No judgement,
All friendly and then
You asked, “Do you want to be my friend?”
And thankfully, I said yes.
So now all we can do is talk, I’m
Here, and you may be far
And we haven’t seen each other in four years, but
No matter the distance, you’ll
Always have me. Let me tell
You, “I love you
And thank you for befriending me on the first day of school.”
