15 Problems Any IB Year 12 Can Relate To

Just about a quarter of the IB down, and it’s time to reflect upon the wondrous joys of embarking on the IB journey…

  1. When you have 6 tests, 3 essays and 2 books to read for one week and no homework for the next week…
  2. When the school puts TOK first thing in the morning…
  3. When teachers expect you to be organised, responsible students…
  4. When you get 3 textbooks for one subject but the teacher says “we won’t use them”…
  5. When someone says “it counts for CAS”…
  6. When the IOP is barely finished and your teacher starts talking to you about the IOC…
  7. When your friends are already talking about universities…
  8. When you’re expected to know your EE topic but you barely know what subjects you’re taking…
  9. When Maths Studies students say “I love maths”…
  10. When you’re on holiday but remember you have to work…
  11. When people get really heated in TOK…
  12. When everyone’s going out but you still got that essay you didn’t hand in 2 months ago…
  13. When you’re in HL Maths and you see the Art students painting outside…
  14. When your parents complain about a “hard day’s work” but you’re still working until 2am…
  15. When the Year 13s overhear you complaining about your workload…
