In my room I have stuff everywhere,
Clothes, Paper and balls of Barbie hair,
I don’t even know what sort of things I have in there!
A cascade of toys on the floor,
I can’t even find my bed anymore!
For every time I start to clean,
The things remind me of the memories behind them,
Unseen,
To other people walking through my bedroom door,
Those who avoid the piles of things on the floor,
Those who pick up
The dirt and muck
I say “thanks, but I’ll do it soon …”
Then procrastinate, for many moons.
