Kumi Naidoo is a South African human rights and environmental activist globally recognised for his leadership in advocating for social justice and climate action. He served as the Executive Director of Greenpeace International from 2009 to 2015 and later as the Secretary-General of Amnesty International from 2018-9. Naidoo has a long history of activism, beginning as an anti-apartheid campaigner in South Africa. He promotes intersectional approaches to addressing global challenges, connecting climate change, human rights, and poverty. Naidoo continues to work with grassroots movements and organisations to amplify marginalised voices in the fight for equity and sustainability.
